RESTAURATION OF SONIA SANOJA’S PORTRAIT BY LUISA RICHTER

The portrait of Sonia Sanoja by Luisa Richter is one of the few figurative works by the artist. This iconic portrait (s.f.) has occupied a place of great importance in the collective memory of those who knew the dancer and visited her house. It is oil on canvas and has suffered deformation due to the passage of time since its frame must be replaced. The consequence of this is the loss of the pictorial layer in several areas of the canvas, fortunately for now only very localized places. Given that they have expressed interest in exhibiting this work, it is extremely important that its restoration be carried out prior to its mobilization to ensure its stability and integrity.
